As i read through old posts I find they still reflect the aims and goals of my quest to fill my home with another perspective, a comforting presence, some one to share a home. Is it you? Do you know someone you might share this opportunity with who might be inclined? Please do. Much has stayed the same since the last post. The community is changing, our small grocery store is closing it's doors. A new Art venue has opened its, Art Kettle. The Black smith shop still has concerts, nice restaurants, an inviting library with friendly staff. We have an active Face Book Market Place and Manchester Groups to get to know one another, sell and find stuff. And then there are the lovely preserves with hiking trails and the River Rasin to paddle or simply bank side enjoy the passing water and nature. There are groups to join, an active historic society and gardening club. Manchester is a small community, I can ride my bike to my dentist and doctors appointments. Or downtown to take part in a holiday parade. In this busy world it"s a place of refuge. Yes it's a commute but a lovely country drive that soothes the soul. I call it home over 25 years. I have a fantasy about living in a small town where people know and greet each other and then i remind myself, I do! here it is.
